Cinque orizzonti con pietre

2013
Bronze, stone;
site-specific

Five bronze bars in the shape of an upside-down “L” are each installed alongside a large stone on a plot of land on Pantelleria, an island off Sicily. The horizontal section of each bar is the exact height of the artists eyeline when standing on the rock next to each sculpture. The installation is testimony to the artist’s visit to the island in July 2012. The swift action of looking out to the horizon while standing on the rocks has become a permanent installation for future visitors to reflect upon.
